The competition already took off at yesterdays sunrise as California is warm and we had to be fast to ride down some good lines before the sun could bake the snow. Unfortunately we were not able to ride the Tram Face because of security reasons. With the changing temperatures the snow gets baked really fast and frozen again. To get similar conditions through a whole field of riders would have been very difficult. After a large avalanche occurring on Tram Face spontaneously about 30 feet below the starting gate just minutes before the first men were to start their runs, the comp was postponded straight away to Silverado face on Monday.
