"Athlete of the Year"
A huge "Thank You" to everyone, who voted for me! (Vielen lieben Dank an alle, die mich gewählt haben!)
After 30 hours of travelling from Squaw Valley/USA to my hometown (Squaw Valley - Reno - Denver - Chicago - Munic), I finally arrived in Überlingen/Lake of Constance/GER just in time on saturday night to join the ceremony where successful athletes were honoured for their sports performances in the year 2009.
A little fireworks for me ;)
All citizens of the Lake of Constance region and especially inhabitans of Überlingen were requested to vote between us 3 athlets Katharina Müller (Gymnastics), Avdi Asllani (Boxing) and me (Snowboarding). We were nominated by a sports judging panel 3 months ago.
I am really happy that I finally won the election and got crowned "Athlete of the Year" 2010! WOW!
