Ride on with Roxy
The Roxy Ice Camp in cooperation with MBM has been another great experience at the end of this season. Some adventures are just too much fun, I can´t get enough of them!!!
Roxy Germany/Austria was searching for another winter teamrider. From November 9th 2009 until 1st of March 2010 passionated snowboarders (women only) from 14 - 19 years, were welcome to apply for a spot in the finals at Kitzsteinhorn/Austria to show some great freestyle skills in the park.
About 20 girls were ready to take their chance and impressed the judges (including Lena Stoffel, Vroni Rajcsanyi, Betzy Köffler, our teammanager Nele Wiese and me) with some nice riding.
The winner, Lea Baumschlager, showed some nice 360s, stylish board slides at the rails and boxes, 540s and even a 720 and took home a one years Roxy contract. Congratulations Lea!!!

The weekend ended with a night in the “ igloo town” on top of the Kitzsteinhorn clacier on 2800 meters. I never thought that a night in an igloo would cause such an adventure. Lena and me were skipping the sauna and jacuzzi, but could not resist playing archery and eating too much fondue in the big “dining” igloo. I think Glühwein is becoming much stronger in big hights, hehe.
