There was something about this season. Good bye winter!
You might have heard that I have had an accident at the Kaunertal Glacier in Austria during one of my last film and photoshoots of the season.

Conny, Betzy - you made my day that day! Happy Easter!
Anne-Flore and I planned another trip to Canada, but as we were not too sure about the weather and snowconditions, we actually decided to drive to the Kaunertal for a glacier expedition. Just for a little warm up, I rode down a couloir and straightlined it at the end but started tumbeling with high speed on covered ice, which I could not see from above. Immediately I had to be flewn to the next hospital, because I had a numb feeling in my whole body. At the hospital they realized that my scapula was broken and a spinous process was broken, too. My spinal cord was bruised and this is where the numb feeling and emotions of pins and needles came from. On top I must have had a herniated disc a couple of years ago. The new accident last week has pressed my cervical vertebra (5/6) even more to the spinal cord, which caused all the pain. So the specialists decided to grind off the self-grown bone and stiffen/connect the 5th and 6th vertebras of my neck...
It will take a little while now until the contusion of my spinal cord heals off and I will still suffer from pain and have the numb feeling in my fingers and hands...but ...
I will be doing my sports rehab here in Innsbruck surrounded by friends and family. I am feeling better every day although I have to be patient and it´s still a long way to go...Step by step, day by day! But I will be back soon... even stronger!
